As driver Brandon Campbell guided pacing mare Alot Of Sense through the passing lane in the final race of the day at Fraser Downs, track announcer Dan Jukich succinctly summarized the Sunday afternoon program: "Grand day today for Campbell!"
Campbell's grand day included six winning drives -- among them were a pair for his father, trainer Sanford Campbell.
Campbell kicked off a four-race win streak aboard the Richard Lancaster-trained mare Ladies From Hell ($7.40) in the afternoon's fourth race. He then guided Keys Please ($2.90) to victory for conditioner Paul Urquhart, repeat winner Im Gracies Wigwam ($2.90) for Sanford Campbell, and Relentless Storm ($14.90) for Donna Cunningham.
After a runner-up finish in the ninth race, Campbell closed out the 11-race program with back-to-back wins aboard his father's trainee Showtime Terror ($8) and the aforementioned Alot Of Sense ($6.20) for the Lancaster stable.
The Calgary-based reinsman now boast wins in half of his 24 starts this year for an impressive .583 UDR.
