Lady Latte has been as solid a wager as any so far in 2010 at Western Fair Raceway. After scoring a mild 6-1 upset on January 7, the roan mare has rattled off four straight victories over the London, Ont. oval while racing as the post time choice. This afternoon, the daughter of No Pan Intended will be looking to push the streak to six
.
The feat does not look to be an easy one, though, as the William Hamm-trained and Michael Sumner-driven lass will be moving up in class today to the Mares Preferred 2 level and will have to overcome Post 7.
Sumner is again listed to drive, and he and his partner have been assessed as the 5-2 second choice in the morning line odds. A field of eight is scheduled to go forward in what will be the 10th race on the 12-dash program.
Owned by Craig Turner and Mhairi Kersel of Ingersoll, Ontario, Lady Latte was a $30,000 yearling purchase which has won $66,561 in her career heading into today's action.
Western Fair's live card of racing will send its first race to post today at 3:35 p.m.
