Allerage Farms has announced the very first foal arrivals of the 2024 season.
Born at the Stanfordville, N.Y. farm on Feb. 6 was among the earliest of the Ecurie D foals, this one a filly from the maiden mare Plum Wine. The dam took a 1:59f record at age three and is the only surviving female from Allerage foundation mare Magenta Hall, making Plum Wine a half sister to the million-dollar winning 2013 Yonkers Trot champ, Dewycolorintheline.
Over at the Sayre, Pa. location on Feb. 8 came a colt by the red-hot Tactical Landing, the third foal of stakes winner Smoke And Mirrors 3, 1:55.3 ($370,219).
Both mares and foals are doing well.
