War Cry Hall extended his winning streak to three thanks to his Sunday afternoon score in the $16,500 Open Trot at Miami Valley.
Driver Josh Sutton urged War Cry Hall past Mr Web Page (Chris Page) in the final strides despite a sloppy track caused by steady rainfall throughout the day. Cantcutthatchip (Jack Dailey) was a fast-closing third in the feature race. Favoured Rehab Mountain (Brad Hanners) cut fractions of :28.4, :58.4 and 1:29 before tiring in the late going. The time for the mile was 1:59.2.
RBH Ventures Inc owns War Cry Hall, who earned $99,010 in 2014 before returning to Ohio at the beginning of the year. He has visited the Miami Valley winner’s circle on three straight occasions, including two Opens. Leading trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. trains the six-year-old son of Cash Hall-Winners Only.
