$16.8 Million Carry-Over For V75

A carry-over jackpot pool of $16.8 million (USD) will be up for grabs Saturday, July 12 in the next scheduled Swedish V75 wager, horse racing's largest pool.

V75 races are run every Saturday in Sweden. Advance wagering begins on Wednesday and is open until the close of business on Friday. Bettors win the V75 by selecting the winners of seven consecutive races. Consolation payouts are made to bettors who select six or five winners.

On Saturday, July 5 the V75 had no payout for five correct due to the fact that the payment did not meet the minimum threshold required by the Swedish government on the V75 races, therefore causing the massive carry-over.

The most popular bet on horseracing in the world in terms of pool size, V75 accounts for 40 per cent of total pari-mutuel wagering in Sweden and has grown at a rate of 10 per cent annually over the past five years.

In terms of the United States, the V75 is currently available in New Jersey at the Meadowlands Racetrack, Monmouth Park and Freehold Raceway.
