Victom AS was a gutsy winner in Tuesday’s feature race and driver Trevor Henry was a multiple winner during Tuesday’s 12-race program at Western Fair Raceway

.

Not even a first-over journey could Victom AS in his quest to take home top prize in the $15,000 Preferred Trot for the tandem of driver Stuart Sowerby and owner/trainer John Drennan of Burlington, ON. The four-year-old son of Striking Sahbra-Next Victom came first up against race favourite Indiana Hall, and put that foe away en route to narrowly scoring the victory in a time of 1:59.1. My Rebelious Ways came on strong to finish three-quarters of a length behind the winner, with the show dough going to Dashing Earl.

Sent off at odds of 4-1 in the seven-horse affair, Victom AS won for the seventh time this season in 28 starts. The 11-time winner has banked in excess of $93,000 this year and more than $144,000 to date.

Even though Trevor Henry didn’t get a prize with Indiana Hall in the featured tilt, the reinsman did enjoy a banner day at the office.

The Arthur, ON horseman made five trips to the winner’s circle thanks to scores with T L Zebub (2:00.3), Windsong Harley (1:58.3), Im Classy (2:00.3), Luigi (1:58.3) and The Super Aussie (2:01).

Henry, who is on the verge of surpassing the $2-million mark in earnings for the seventh consecutive season, recently joined the 4,000-win club. He has teamed up with winners in excess of $26-million to date.
