Jackpot Hi 5 Carryover Climbs Again

Just in time for the holiday season, Woodbine Racetrack’s Jackpot Hi 5 wager is starting to create some buzz among handicappers.

The wager, which requires fans to correctly select the top five finishers in exact order, is offered as the final race during each card of racing. If just one winning ticket is sold on the correct combination, then that person takes home the whole pool. Otherwise, a carryover is offered during the next card of racing.

Greystone Moe, who was sent off as the 5-2 favourite in Thursday’s finale at the Rexdale, Ontario oval, was a handy winner in Race 10. He was a popular winner over #1 Warrior Call (4-1), #5 Normstrikesfame (3-1), #9 Plans Over (5-1) and the longest shot on the board, #6 Casimir Low Gear (53-1).

The winning combination of 2-1-5-9-6 kicked back a return of $921.00 for a $1-based wager. There were multiple winning tickets sold on the winning sequence, and that means a carryover of $57,957.57 will find its way into Friday evening’s Jackpot Hi 5 wager at Woodbine Racetrack.
