Trot Insider has learned that the speedy stakes-winning pacer One Eight Hundred will be standing stud for the 2026 breeding season.
One Eight Hundred will be standing in Prince Edward Island from the Ron Matheson Stable.
A seven-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere out of former world champion Economy Terror, One Eight Hundred boasts a lifetime mark of 1:48 taken at The Meadowlands during his sophomore season when he also won a division of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, defeating the likes of future millionaires Southwind Gendry, Rockyroad Hanover and Hellabalou.
He is currently owned by Dr. Mitchell Downey of Saint John, N.B. and trained by Ellen Stevenson since his arrival in the Maritimes in July 2024.
The career winner of more than $200,000 has hit the board in 26 of his 61 starts, including a dozen victories.
One Eight Hundred suffered a hairline fracture in his pastern in the summer but is back jogging with plans for a return to racing this spring/summer.
One Eight Hundred's stud fee is $1,200 plus HST and there is a $100 service collection fee. A multiple mare discount is available.
