Parisian Blue Chip got her pedal pressed early by driver James MacDonald in Friday’s feature for female pacers, and together they fended off late pressure to win in a time of 1:53.1.
Leaving from Post 6 in the six-horse affair, Parisian Blue Chip muscled her way to the lead and had the field chasing her through fractions of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:25.3. She sprinted home in :27.3 to win by a half-length margin over Snow Shark. Taking home third prize was Majestic Virgin.
It was the sixth win of the season – and the 22nd to date – for the six-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight-She Walks The Walk. Shawn Steacy trains the distaffer for Stephen Klunowski and David MacDonald. The lion’s share of the $26,000 purse boosted her lifetime bankroll to $435,089.
