Dave Hudon dominated Friday's harness racing action at Fraser Downs, winning half of the evening's card.
Hudon's night began with a 39-1 upset in the second race as the Allan Molloy-trained two-year-old filly I Too ($81.20) went wire-to-wire for a maiden-breaking victory in 2:01.4 over the sloppy track.
The Surrey, B.C. horseman then reeled off four straight wins, beginning in the fifth race with his own trainee Coliseum Hanover ($13.40), who rebuffed back a serious backstretch challenge from favourite Angies Beach Boy and then held off late-closer Say Again by half a length.
Hudon also scored with Michael Bourgeois' Devious Diva ($11.20) and Ladychaterlyslover ($6.90) for trainer Ty O'Neill before capping off his big night with another winner from his own stable. The Hudon-trained Wendy Jay ($8.90) looped even-money favourite Bossy and John Hudon after the first quarter to reclaim the lead and held those rivals off in a photo finish to notch her third straight victory.
Hudon now boasts 2,185 wins in his driving career along with 1,324 training triumphs.
