Jimmy Taggart Jr. held the hottest hands during Thursday afternoon’s card of racing at Monticello Raceway thanks to a five-win performance.
During the course of the week Taggart won 13 races, including a four-bagger on Tuesday afternoon.
He posted wins on Thursday’s card with Bazooka (1:57.1 – Race 2), Craven The Beach (1:58.1 – Race 4), KJ Brent (2:00 – Race 7), Samsawinner (2:01.3 – Race 8) and Amazing Quest (1:57.1 – Race 10).
Taggart currently ranks second for the most wins with 244, trailing Bruce Aldrich’s total of 371, Jason Ryan holds a one-win lead over Larry Stalbaum (190 -189) for third place.
The former Pocono Downs-based driver has been calling Monticello Raceway home for the past two years with much success to show for it.
