Illinois Gov. To Listen To Slots Proposal?

According to an article by the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Illinois governor Pat Quinn has stated that the state should look into the possibility of having racetracks be home to

slot machines.

“As far as the race tracks go … they have a proposal and we ought to take a look at it. I don’t think categorically I’m going to say 'no' to that,” the report quoted Quinn as saying.

Taxation of the slots would help pay for a huge new infrastructure program in the state.
