Northfield Park, Ohio’s leading racetrack by total handle in both the on-track and export categories, is offering live harness racing four nights a week to start the 2014 racing season.
From January through July, racing will be held on a Monday through Thursday schedule with three additional dates of Friday, April 28 and Saturdays July 19 and 26.
Beginning in August, Northfield drops Wednesdays and adds Friday evenings.
Wednesdays resume on October 29 and a Monday through Friday schedule will be raced until the end of the year, except for Friday, November 27 and December 24, 25 and 31.
Northfield Park’s three marquee racing events are as follows: the $100,000 (guaranteed) Courageous Lady on Friday, April 25; the $150,000 (guaranteed) Battle of Lake Erie on Saturday, July 19; and the $150,000 (guaranteed) Cleveland Classic on Friday, December 12.
First race post time each race night is 6 p.m.
