In his second stint competing in North America, veteran Lets Get Serious N turned back six rivals to win the Tuesday, Dec. 27 $16,500 feature trot over a sloppy track

at Dover Downs.

George Dennis pulled the Jeff Clark-conditioned Lets Get Serious N three-wide at the three-quarters to get the lead then pulled away for a 1:57.2 victory in the rain. The win was the fourth of the year for the Joe Muscara-owned 10-year-old son of Sondon-Queen Charlotte who now has won $53,356 this season and $576,875 in his career. Petty Hanover (Allan Davis) finished second while Photo Maxx (Jon Roberts) closed from far back for third. Private Marino and Wearerushfans did not start.

After competing as a three- and four-year-old in New Zealand, Lets Get Serious N came to North America in 2007 and competed here for four seasons, making it to the Open ranks before going back downunder to start the 2011 season. Lets Get Serious made 17 starts in the Australasian harness racing circuit before returning to the U.S. with a late October qualifier.

In the $13,500 sub-feature trot, Vic Kirby put Allmar Surprise into the lead and the Angus Hall-Benita Victory mare was never tested on the way to a 1:56.4 triumph for owner Chris Giaccio. The win was the 12th of the campaign for the Vic Kirby-trained six-year-old, the only female in the field. Allmar Surprise has now won $98,444 in 2011 and $347,624 lifetime. Ladainian (Ross Wolfenden) closed along the passing lane to pick up second in front of Tudy (Matt Kakaley).
