Standardbred Canada hosted a successful Christmas Food and Toy Drive through the month of December in benefit of the local Mississauga Food Bank and Darling Home For Kids.
The Darling Home for Kids provides high quality respite and palliative care services for children who are medically fragile and technology dependent, many of whom suffer from progressive illness.
The Mississauga Food Bank is the central food bank in Mississauga, Ont., where the Standardbred Canada offices reside. The food bank provides food for over 183,000 meals each month. Thousands of individuals and families across Mississauga rely on them every day.
Standardbred Canada employees generously non-perishable food items to the Mississauga Food Bank as well as a selection of toys to the Darling Home for Kids, which were distributed during their family holiday party on Saturday, Dec. 17. The Darling Home for Kids has extended a sincere thank you to the staff at Standardbred Canada that contributed to the holiday party. The children and their families had a wonderful day and loved all of their presents.
