According to a report, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, which operates the Meadowlands Racetrack, may need millions in state funding if it wishes to stay

afloat.

An article on NJ.com says that officials at the NJSEA have denied that there is a plan to seek state assistance, but that tough choices are looming.

The report cites two unnamed sources which state that the NJSEA is looking at a $30 million budget deficit, but spokesman John Samerjan, who wouldn't discuss specifics, said the figure was inaccurate.

"Our revenue challenges are well known," the article quoted Samerjan as saying.
