With frigid temperatures and more shovelling of the white stuff on the horizon, the thoughts of 33-year-old Mississauga, ON resident Shaun Kozlowsky turned to sunny Jamaica yesterday.
Why have his thoughts shifted to Jamaica? During the afternoon of Sunday, December 21, Kozlowsky cashed in on $289,086.74 in the slot area at Woodbine Racetrack.
Kozlowsky said he could not believe at first that he had struck the Bally Quarter Millions jackpot. He had to double check the machine combination to see how much he really won. With the reality of the win sinking in, Kozlowsky said he would use the money to pay bills, invest, do some more Christmas shopping and take a trip to Jamaica.
The Quarter Millions slot machines are linked at all 22 OLG slots and casino facilities across Ontario, and the jackpot grows based on the amount of play at all locations. This is the sixth time the jackpot has been won at OLG Slots at Woodbine. The highest jackpot was won in May 24, 2008 and it was worth $505,980.25.
