With Christmas just four days away, nine-year-old pacer Fluid Motion was on his best behaviour at Truro Raceway on Sunday afternoon, showcasing his holiday spirit for fans and turning in a winning effort on track for his connections.

After charming fans dressed as an elf in warm up, David Carey's Fluid Motion went wire-to-wire to earn his 20th career win in the fifth race for $2,000 claimers. The longest shot on the board at odds of 10-1, the Camotion gelding won by more than two lengths in 2:01.3 over the "good" track.

The stylish pacer has toured the Truro "runway" multiple times this year outfitted in caretaker Heather Gatti's creations, including suit and ties for Father's Day and camouflage gear as a tribute to veterans for Remembrance Day.

The Carey stable had two wins on the nine-race card as did trainer John Murphy. Meanwhile, Watersides Kipper and driver Hilliard Graves won the afternoon's top class in 2:01 for trainer Dawn Ellis Abbott.

Truro Raceway's final harness racing card of the year is scheduled for Sunday, December 28.
