Only a handful of North American-based trotters have been able to win France's prestigious Prix d'Amerique. Will another name be added to that list in 2015?

The last trotter based in North America to win the coveted prize was Moni Maker. Considered one of the greatest trotters of the modern era, Moni Maker put forth a thoroughly impressive effort for driver Jean-Michel Bazire and trainer Jimmy Takter. Takter is also the trainer of Maven, who arrived in France for her European campaign this past weekend with hopes of also racing in January's Prix d'Amerique.

Is this one of the races that fans have selected as one of the top 40 on-track moments of the last 40 years? Check out the December issue of TROT Magazine to find out.
