A well-bred weanling from a champion trotting family sold online on Monday, Dec. 18 with bidding climbing into six-figure territory.

Located in Paris, Kentucky, the bay filly by Tactical Landing, sire of millionaires and Breeders Crown champions Tactical Approach and Karl, is out of multiple world champion and stakes winner Queen Serene. With five interested parties getting in on the bidding action at the $100,000 mark, the weanling ultimately sold for $110,000 to Canus Stable via Preferred Equine Online. She is dual eligible to the New Jersey Sire Stakes and Kentucky Sire Stakes programs.

Bred by Buckstone Land Livestock of York, Pennsylvania, she previously sold on Preferred Equine Online to Ernesto Jabier Martinez on Oct. 30 for $82,000 following a partnership dissolution.

Tactical Landing yearlings averaged approximately $69,000 at this year's Lexington Selected Sale and $42,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale. Queen Serene has nine yearlings that sold at public auction for an average of approximately $72,000, including the weanling's full sister Bourbon Queen last fall in Lexington for $110,000. Her other siblings include the Trixton mare Princess Deo ($470,728, 1:52.2) and Muscle Hill gelding Muscerene ($103,986, 1:53.4f).
