There’s been no stopping Solano in recent weeks at Dover Downs, and on Monday he continued his dominance of the $32,500 Delaware Special thanks to his 1:52.4 triumph for trainer Johnny Waite

.

Sent off as the 9-5 favourite in the eight-horse affair, Solano was parked by Astounding Hanover to the quarter pole in :27.3 before being released to the engine. Solano wheeled the field through middle splits of :56.2 and 1:24.3 before uncorking a :28.1 final frame en route to the half-length score over Eagle All. Cadence N, who did the first over work, was three-quarters of a length back in third.

The five-year-old son of No Pan Intended, who is owned by Johnny Waite of Camden along with Wade and Kathleen Wyatt of Dover, DE, improved his 2010 record to 15-8-2 in 41 trips postward. He has stashed away more than $245,000 this season, while his lifetime total climbed to $348,119.
