Sent the 2-5 favourite, Easy Lover Hanover won his fourth consecutive Preferred on Saturday, December 2 at Woodbine Racetrack, winning the $34,000 feature in 1:50.3.

Positioned fourth through a :27 quarter, the four-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding chased pacesetter Awesomeness through a :56 half before tipping off the rail and venturing towards the leader uncovered. Phoenix Warrior N, trailing throughout, rallied for third.

Owned by Brad Grant and trained by Ben Wallace, Easy Lover Hanover, out of the Pro Bono Best mare Easy Go Go, won his seventh race in 22 starts this season and his 23rd in 55 starts overall, collecting $547,509 in earnings. Driven by Doug McNair, he paid $2.70 to win.
