Carmen Auciello celebrated his first training triple on Saturday night at Georgian Downs with a trio of front-stepping starters.
Jonathan Drury drove Auciello trainees Cracker Stoney ($6.40), Instant Photo ($9.40), and Modern Day Cam ($2.60) to wins in their respective assignments.
Five-year-old pacer Cracker Stoney held on by a neck to win the sixth race in a season's best 1:54.4 to kick off Auciello's three-win night. Veteran trotter Instant Photo cruised to a one and a half length triumph in 1:55.3 in the following race, also in a season's best clocking, and four-year-old pacer Modern Day Cam later won the finale in 1:54.3 by more than two lengths. Modern Day Cam's win was his third in a row since joining Auciello's stable.
The resident of Stouffville, Ont. is in the midst of a career year with 83 wins and $934,182 in purse earnings.
