The Thursday program at Dover Downs was dominated by driver Ron Pierce, who clicked for six wins on the
15-race card.
Pierce, who is on the verge of surpassing $10 million in earnings for the seventh consecutive season, got the ball rolling by guiding Zarachino to a 1:54.3 victory in Race 2. He then picked up wins with Make Me Famous (1:55.4), Collect The Brass (1:57.1), Cyclone Cully N (1:53.1), Madges Lil Fortune (1:55) and All This Snazz (1:57.2).
The six-win performance for Pierce gives him 7,539 lifetime wins, and it helped add to lifetime earnings of more than $170 million.
