Lakota Hall, under the command of Walter Cheverie, was able to chase down Island Jazzystar and Corey MacPherson in deep stretch to win the Saturday afternoon $2,400 feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Cheverie, who was making his first start since being sidelined due to racing accident in September, engineered the 1:59.2 victory for co-owner John Thompson of Charlottetown, P.E.I. Porthill Alf and Marc Campbell completed the top three. The win was Lakota Hall's sixth of the season in 29 outings.

It was another big day for the guys in the green and white racing suits. Marc Campbell and Kenny Arsenault each recorded driving triples. Campbell connected with Kelvi Hanover, Cavalry Officer in the $1,400 Open Handicap Trot and Beauty Spur for trainer Tyler Moore. Arsenault had winning trips aboard CL Eighty, Hunters Green and Doctor Nault for owner Maurice Coady of Charlottetown.

Corey MacPherson had a driving double on day. The young driver delivered Acesnasets as the post time favourite and gave Aramac Rebelreos his third win of the season.

Racing returns on Boxing Day. Post time is 1 p.m.
