Favourite Noartographsplease wore down pacesetter Perfectly Royal to prevail by a nose in Wednesday's featured $6,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 Pace at Flamboro Downs.
Driver James MacDonald sent 3-5 choice Noartographsplease first over from third nearing the half-mile mark and edged out Perfectly Royal (J.R. Plante) at the wire for the 1:57.1 victory over the 'good' track. Mc Taylor (Billy Davis Jr.) finished third, nearly two lengths behind.
The victory was the third in a row on the 12-race card for MacDonald. Ben Paquette trains and co-owns the six-year-old Artesian mare with Lise Carbonneau of Saint-Sulpice, Que.
Noartographsplease has now earned 20 top three finishes in 28 starts this year, including six wins, to bank over $40,000 in purses.
