Six For 'Together'; Five For Callahan

Come Together won his sixth consecutive start while driver Corey Callahan, after driving six winners last night, returned with five winners Tuesday at Dover Downs.

Come Together began his impressive winning streak at Pocono Downs in late October at the $10,000 claiming level, and from there he stepped up in price to $12,500 where he was claimed by Josh Green. His next start was winning at $15,000 and now advances to a $20,000 level. Co-incidentally, Corey Callahan, the meet’s leading driver, recorded the third of five wins during the program, piloting the Artsplace-Pleasantville gelding to victory lane.

Braden, off at 59-1, scorched from the outside to take the lead and held it until Come Together finally wore him down in deep stretch. Hagi finished third. The win by Come Together was his eighth of the season boosting his seasonal earnings to $62,910.

As for Callahan, his other trips to the winner’s circle were celebrated with Sound The Belle (1:59.2), Artstanding (1:52.2), Glide To Victory (1:57) and Olive To Party (1:56.2).
