Fresh off a win in last week’s $13,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace over a frozen track at Northlands Park, the Travis Umphrey-trained A Ps Money Maker returned to the Edmonton oval Friday and led the way right back to the winner’s circle

.

Driver Bill Tainsh, Jr. sent A Ps Money Maker to the lead from Post 4 and the 1-2 co-favourite led her four rivals through fractions of :28.4, :59.4 and 1:29.1 en route to victory in 1:57.2 – this time over a track rated “good”.

Second Fancy (Don Monkman, Jr.) finished one length behind off a pocket trip with co-favourite Doober Hoozzitz (Garry Schedlosky) coming in third.

Since returning to Alberta in November, the four-year-old daughter of Cardmaster Hanover-Mint Kondition won her ABSS Alberta Heartland division, finished second in the Battle of Alberta Super Final and recorded a pair of victories at the Open level. This year, A Ps Money Maker has won three of her nine starts earning $49,654 for owners Terry Hamilton of Lethbridge, Joe Tinelli of St. Albert and the Shir Win Racing Stable of Edmonton, Alta. Her 13th lifetime score tonight pushed her earnings over the $300,000 mark.
