Insincerity Wires Up Preferred Foes

J.R. Plante wasted no time grabbing the racetrack with Insincerity in Tuesday’s $9,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 at The Raceway at Western Fair District, and that tactical approach proved to be a winning one for the homebred.

Insincerity rolled to the lead from Post 2 and successfully sliced out fractions of :28.2, :58.4 and 1:28 en route to the 1:58.3 decision. Race favourite Black Magic Eyes, who sat a pocket trip throughout the mile, was a half-length in arrears with Its No Secret taking home the show dough in the eight-horse affair.

William Hamm of West Lorne, Ontario bred, owns and trains the four-year-old daughter of Rambaran-Super Filly, who won for the sixth time this season and for the 19th time in her career. Her share of the loot lifted her lifetime earnings to $126.645.
