More than 435 head will be offered at the January Select Mixed Sale at the Meadowlands, including world-champion filly Snow White, the fastest and richest two-year-old trotter in history.
The sale, which once again features a terrific selection of racehorses, fillies and mares, and stallion shares, is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 19.
With a two-year-old mark of 1:52.4 and career earnings of $1.4 million, the incomparable Snow White is arguably the greatest trotting filly or mare to ever be sold at public auction. She leads a list of magnificent mares that are cataloged including the $701,416-winning Thong, the recent Snow Angel winner Apere Hanover, and the 2007 Merrie Annabelle winner Muscovite.
Among the quality racehorses also going through the sale ring is the $617,837 -winning San Remo Kosmos; New York Sire Stakes champion Riggins; world champion Lis Deo; Kinetic Yankee, one of 2007’s leading sophomore colt pacers; the top-level free-for-all pacer Western Shore; and Zooka, a winner of more than $1.3 million.
Seventy-five broodmares will also be offered, as well as shares in leading stallions such as Cantab Hall, Donato Hanover, Credit Winner, Rocknroll Hanover and Art Major.
“Last year was the greatest January Mixed Sale in history and with horses like Snow White this year we are optimistic of another strong sale,” said the sale’s general manager, Geoffrey Stein.
