Robert DeLeo, speaker of the House in Massachusetts, has outlined his agenda for 2011, and has toned down his fiery quest for track slots that failed at the end of this year’s last legislative session under heavy opposition from governor Deval Patrick.
DeLeo says he still wants slots at tracks “to keep people who are presently employed employed and to provide local aid,” and he hopes the matter will be discussed early in the new session to give time for discussion and debate.
