.

The news comes via an article on pressofatlanticcity.com, which states that the current waiting of the Governor's Commission on the Horse Racing Industry is due to the transition between the outgoing Corzine administration and the incoming administration of governor-elect Chris Christie.

Bildner was quoted as saying, "I think at this point we are awaiting direction from the new administration."

There are currently no meetings scheduled.

The Corzine-created commission has the mandate 'to identify, assess and recommend possible funding solutions for horse racing meets after 2010 and to propose long-term funding solutions that will promote the future sustained viability of the horse racing industry in New Jersey.'
