Millionaire pacer Dial Or Nodial pushed his win streak to four with another narrow score at Harrah's Philadelphia in the $75,000 Open Pace on Friday afternoon.
With David Miller driving, the Jim Campbell trainee slipped up the pylons from the pocket in the stretch and kicked home in :26.3 to prevail by half a length over the wide-closing Mr Hasani N (Andy Miller) in 1:50.1. Sapphire City (Brent Holland) finished one length behind in third after carving out race fractions of :26.3, 56 and 1:23.1. First over challenger We Will See (Ron Pierce), the odds-on favourite, and Abelard Hanover (Corey Callahan) finished over two lengths behind in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Overlooked by the betting public, Dial Or Nodial paid $21.20 to win as the 9-1 fourth choice.
The six-year-old son of Western Ideal now sports 6-5-3 record in 20 seasonal starts with purse earnings of nearly $250,000. His 28th career win pushed his lifetime earnings over the $1.5 million mark for owner Fashion Farms.
Driver Yannick Gingras won five races on Friday's 14-race card, including four with Ron Burke trainees.
