Phone Terror ($2.10) earned her third consecutive victory in the $10,500 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Fraser Downs with another front-striding effort in rein to trainer/driver Serge Masse.
Crossing to command from her outside assigned post five after an early three-way tussle, Phone Terror hit the opening quarter in 27 seconds over the 'good' track with no challengers in sight from that point forward. The 1-9 favourite cruised through middle splits of :56.4 and 1:25.2 then opened up more than four lengths with a :28.4 final frame to stop the clock in 1:54.1. Sheezgotdawoogies (Jim Marino) followed in second-place and Gracie Montana (Bill Davis) finished third.
Phone Terror now boasts 12 wins in 32 starts this year and 40 victories lifetime. The six-year-old daughter of Western Terror, who has finished no worse than second this Fraser meet, is owned by Lucy Raymond of Edmonton, Alta.
John Chappell enjoyed a training triple on the 10-race card.
