Driver Mike Langdon started and finished the Thursday evening program at Flamboro Downs in the winner’s circle, but he didn’t stop at just that.
In fact he added three more victories in the midst of the 11-race program, bringing his daily win total to five.
Langdon, who currently finds himself in the midst of a career season based on starts, wins and earnings, pulled off a 6-1 upset with Rock Them Roxie (2:01.4) in today’s first race before returning to victory lane with Im In Fantasyland (1:59.2) in Race 4.
He surprised with 9-1 shot Meet The Artist (1:59) in Race 7 and made a round trip to the winner’s circle in Race 8 with Kelvi Hanover (1:58.3), who was sent off at odds of 8-1.
That pacer’s stablemate, Monas Madison (2:01.1), completed a training double for Bill Robinson, finished off a five-win performance for Langdon and rewarded her backers to the tune of 15-1 in Race 11.
Langdon, who now sits at 1,504 lifetime wins, has banked in excess of $11.1 million in his career. He is quickly closing in on $2.6 million in purse earnings this season, which is nearly $300,000 greater than any other year in his career.
