Driver Rick Webb scored wins in half of Saturday's 10 races at Kawartha Downs including two of the three Christmas Wish Trotting Series eliminations with Mike Wade trainees Winning Miss Betty and Meadowview Arny

Webb kicked off the card with a victory aboard Winning Miss Betty ($8) in the first $6,500 Christmas Wish Trot elimination for non-winners of one race or $10,000 (F&M $12,500) lifetime. The homebred three-year-old Amigo Hall-Annika Seelster filly earned her first win in seven career starts in 2:01.4 for Ontario owners David Mackay and Betty, Donna and Steven Roberts. Mahana finished three-quarters of a length behind in second and My Mollie Warrawee rounded out the top three.
In a later elimination, Webb worked out the winning trip for three-year-old Meadowview Arny ($7), who notched his second win in 12 starts during his debut season. The homebred Ken Warkentin-Meadowview Tiffy gelding won by two and three-quarter lengths over Northern Fragrance and El Roope in 2:01.2. He is owned by Meadowview Farms Inc. of Orono, Ont.
Webb also scored victories with the Kevin Isaac-trained Tambora ($12.10), Dg Cash For Life ($41) for David Ahern, and Tritri ($4.30) for James Marchment. The resident of Gores Landing, Ont. has won 30 races this year and is just four away from his 800th lifetime victory.
The other Christmas Trot elim was won by Waltsa Seelster ($23.30) and driver Aaron Byron, a three-time winner on the card. The Duke Of York-Armbro Waterfall sophomore filly romped to an eight and a half length victory in 2:00.3 over El Margarita and Capo Dolce. Unraced at two, the win was her second in 17 starts this year for trainer Paul Ruhl and owner James Ruhl of Tara, Ont.
Only three drivers managed to make it into the winner's circle as driver Jonathan Drury won the other two races on the card.
