Dreamfair Eternal continued to make her case for year-end honours as she reeled off her seventh victory in a row in the $38,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace on Friday night at Woodbine Racetrack

.

Driver Jody Jamieson sent last week’s Open winner, Warrawee Koine, to the lead off the gate while a parked out Marietta Hall and Keith Oliver rolled up to take over just past the :27.1 first quarter.

As Marietta Hall led the way to the half in :55.4, Randy Waples sent the popular Dreamfair Eternal first over from fifth. The six-year-old daughter of Camluck-J Cs Nathalie advanced steadily to three-quarters in 1:24.1 and took over down the stretch to score by one and a half lengths in 1:51.1. Longshot Blissful Smile (Jack Moiseyev) edged out Marietta Hall for second.

Dreamfair Eternal paid $2.90 to win as the heavy 2-5 favourite. The Pat Fletcher trainee now boasts a record reading 16-4-1 in 22 seasonal starts and earnings totaling $942,320 for owner-breeder John Lamers of Ingersoll, Ont.

Prior to a week's rest, Dreamfair Eternal took on the top male pacers at Woodbine winning in 1:50.2. She also captured the Forest City Pace, Breeders Crown and Milton Stakes along with the Masters Stake and Artiscape Pace earlier this year.

Tonight's victory was her 45th lifetime in 100 starts and helped boost her bankroll to $1.7 million.
