Brandon Campbell worked out the winning trip in the featured $11,500 Fillies & Mares Open Pace getting Crying Over You out late in the mile to prevail on a frigid Friday night at Northlands Park

.

Trying to make it four wins in a row, Second Fancy (Don Monkman Jr.) charged to command from Post 6 and carved out fractions of :28.3, :59.3 and 1:29.4 with Crying Over You and Campbell locked in fourth along the pylons.

As the field headed around the final turn, Campbell moved Crying Over You off the rail and found room to angle out wide in deep stretch. The five-year-old daughter of Tajma Hall-At A Glance sprinted home in :28.4 to score in 1:59.3. Starring Role (Jamie Gray) finished one and a quarter lengths behind in second while Doober Hoozzitz (Garry Schedlosky) and W Jean (Bill Tainsh Jr.) finished third in a dead-heat.

Crying Over You paid $11.20 to win as the 4-1 third choice. Joseph O'Brien trains the winner of six races in 24 starts and over $36,000 this year for breeder Walter Moroz of Edmonton, Alta.
