After a dominant performance last week, Keeper Floored is favoured in the Steven MacRae Memorial Series final on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The afternoon program has 15 dashes starting at 12:30 p.m.

Race 13 is the $4,500 Steven MacRae Memorial Fall Series final, in memory of the late horse owner and race fan who passed away at age 25 in 2019. Keeper Floored is the favourite in the final from post five with leading driver Marc Campbell back in the seat for trainer Roger MacRae and owners Wendy and Christopher MacRae. The five-year-old son of Sportswriter-Keepers Destiny provided a six-length romp last week in elimination action for his seventh lifetime win.

Rockin Novel (Ken Murphy) has rail control from the Roy Reynolds barn. Outrageous Show (Corey MacPherson) made up a pile of ground to finish fourth in his elimination for trainer Jeff Holmes. The Lenny Myers-trained Philthebank (Jason Hughes) drew post three after finishing third in elimination action while Stealing Bases (David Dowling) has post four from the Ron Matheson stable after a runner-up performance last week.

Check Your Source has been third in his last four outings and gets the services of Adam Merner in the seat for trainer Gordie Hennessey from post six. Azure Beach (Brodie MacPhee) was a winner in elimination action and has post seven Saturday for trainer Dwane MacEachern while Power Of Four (Irwin Neill) rounds out the field with post eight.

The "Post Time Picks" like Keeper Floored to win: “Keeper Floored Ran off the screen last week and finished a close second two starts back. Off his latest win, he’ll be extremely tough to beat.”

Race 14 is the $3,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred with the MacRae Memorial consolation lining up for $3,200 in race four.

The weekend programs will also feature the start of special second chance draws for customers, presented by the P.E.I. Standardbred Horse Owner’s Association and special events committee with the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association.
