Thats It Sweeps Lady Elements

Thats It prevailed over sloppy conditions in the $50,000 final of the Lady Elements to follow up her track record performance in last week's elimination round at Fraser Downs for trainer Gord Abbott.

Despite equalling the 1:52.2 Fraser record for aged pacing mares that was set over a decade ago, Thats It was the 9-2 second choice in Friday's final to Tahiti Seelster, whose six-race win streak was halted in that elimination.

Tahiti Seelster (Serge Masse) set out to avenge her loss and carved out fractions of :26.2, :56 and 1:24.2, but came under siege in the stretch.

Thats It, who had the trailing tier post nine and followed in fifth early on, launched her attack approaching three-quarters in rein to Paul Davies with Big Shir (Brandon Campbell) following the cover before tipping three-wide turning for home.

Thats It took command in the stretch and then held off Big Shir by a neck to prevail in 1:53.3. Pocket-sitter G Ts Jamie (Kelly Hoerdt) closed through the passing land and out-finished Tahiti Seelster for the show honours.

A four-year-old daughter of Dragon Again, Thats It is owned by Alberta's Lorne Duffield, Jean Crochetiere and Rod Hennessy. She now boasts three straight wins and 10 overall this season, with earnings just shy of the $100,000 mark. A career winner of 19 races, she has banked $190,268 to date.
