Oberto gobbled up the leader with a powerful first-over move, then rolled to an easy victory in Wednesday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,400 conditioned trot.
Oberto was fourth down the backside when Ridge Warren tipped him off the cones. The six-year-old Yankee Glide-Dont Say Dont gelding overpowered The Prince on the point and drew off to score in 1:53.4, 7-1/4 lengths better than the rallying Windsong Patriot. Enzio finished third.
Jessica Roegner trains Oberto, who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $244,185, for Paul O’Neil.
Jeremy Indof swept Wednesday’s first four races, including a 29-1 score with Papa P.
