The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) will host its 33rd annual Auction for Charity, which through the years has raised more than $412,000 for local charities and nonprofit organizations within the Standardbred industry, on Sunday (Dec. 4) at the Hilton Garden Inn, Southpointe.
MSOA will provide a buffet dinner beginning at 5 p.m. with drawings set to start around 7 p.m. Prizes can be viewed and tickets purchased beginning at 1 p.m. on the day of the event.
The MSOA needs donated prizes for the auction. These often include gift cards for area restaurants; baskets of cheer; holiday decorative items or apparel; tickets to sporting events or theater shows; horse supplies; lottery tickets; horse-related jewelry or clothing, and the ever-popular cash. All gifts, which are tax deductible, are welcome.
Please leave donations at the MSOA offices during regular business hours by Nov. 28, and be sure to include your name. Among the organizations assisted by auction proceeds are New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program and the Standardbred Retirement Foundation.
