Rebounding from an eighth place finish in the Breeders Crown Mare Trot, Kandor Hanover used a third-over trip and a powerful late kick to capture Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap at The Meadows

Away an unhurried sixth for Dave Palone, Kandor Hanover followed live cover before brushing through the lane to down Victory Is Coming by a neck in 1:54.4. Charged Freight was third.
Bill Zendt trains Kandor Hanover, a five-year-old daughter of Tagliabue-Katelyns Glory who now boasts $394,485 in career earnings, for Online Stables, John Burns and Pat Huber.
Brett Miller drove five winners and Palone three on the 15-race card.
