TCNHC Mandatory Races Announced

Standardbred Canada hosted a special welcome reception and brunch at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel for all of the players in the TROT Canada National Handicapping Championship as well as

their guests earlier this afternoon. The National Capital Region Harness Horse Association sponsored the brunch.

The room was abuzz with excitement as contest officials also made that all-important announcement regarding the mandatory races.

The following are the ten mandatory races that participants must place wagers on:

In addition to these 10 mandatory races, participants will be able to select 10 optional races (which must be different) from Flamboro, Rideau, Windsor & Woodbine. The only stipulation is that they must be different than the mandatory races.

Participants will travel to Rideau Carleton around 4:00 p.m. for final preparations for the TROT Canada National Handicapping Championship which will get underway at 5:30 p.m.

The winning handicapper (person with the highest bankroll) will receive a grand prize cheque in the amount of $25,000. The top five finishers will receive prize money.
