Five Straight For Atoka Millionaire

The month of September was a complete write off for pacer Atoka Millionaire who faced the gate twice and finished eighth on both occasions, but since then the pacer has been piling up the wins and rolling in the dough.

After four consecutive scores in the month of October at Sudbury Downs, Atoka Millionaire took his show on the road to Woodbine Racetrack Monday evening and he passed the tougher test with flying colours.

With Jody Jamieson at the controls, the Mike Lamoureux trainee got away fifth before blasting to the lead and hammering out middle fractions of :57 and 1:25.1. He then used a :29-second closing panel to win by 1-1/2 lengths in a career-best clocking of 1:54.1.

It was the fifth consecutive tally for the four-year-old son of Million Dollar Cam-Cristel Story, who now boasts a 16-1-4 record from 31 trips to the track this season after failing to hit the board in pair of sophomore starts last season. Omer and Marc Belisle of Val Caron share ownership on the career winner of $66,782 with Mary Jessica Lamoureux of Chelmsford, ON.
