Driver Jody Jamieson had more than his 34th birthday to celebrate on Saturday afternoon
. The resident of Moffat, Ont. won five times during Flamboro Downs’ 11-race program.
Jamieson kicked off the card on a winning note with Made To Glide ($4.80) for trainer Jeff Gillis. The birthday boy also provided trainer Gregg McNair with a double after winning the third race aboard Rocket Art ($2.80) and the 10th race with Zorgwijk Justice ($3.10). He picked up two more wins with Captain J T ($5.90) in the sixth race for Edward Hayter and Ram Buster (2.30) in the ninth race for Laetici Maslia.
Jamieson now boasts 426 wins on the year and is closing in on $8 million in purse earnings. With over $6.9 million banked on Canadian soil, Jamieson ranks second in the national standings for earnings. He is just two wins away from reaching the 5,500 career win mark and has banked over $73.9 million in purses to date.
