Back at his old stomping grounds on Sunday, driver Louis-Philippe Roy guided favourite Ufdragons Rocket ($5.30) to victory in the featured $8,400 Winners Over Handicap Pace at Rideau Carleton Raceway

While Stonebridge Beach led the way through fractions of :26.4, :56.1 and 1:24, Roy sent his mount first-up from fourth. Ufdragons Rocket collared Stonebridge Beach in the stretch and went on to win by four and a quarter lengths in 1:53.3 over the 'good' track. Nobettorplacetobe closed from the backfield to finish second, just ahead of Stonebridge Beach.

Yves Tessier trains the eight-year-old Dragon Again-Pacific Montere gelding for owner Francois Morin of Beauceville, Que.

Ufdragons Rocket earned his 40th career win while sending his trainer's lifetime earnings over the $1 million mark. The pacer has recorded 14 of those victories this year.

Roy, now a regular on the WEG Circuit and the second leading dash-winning driver in the country, drove on Sunday at Hippodrome 3R and Rideau, where he had topped the standings in 2016.
