While Stonebridge Beach led the way through fractions of :26.4, :56.1 and 1:24, Roy sent his mount first-up from fourth. Ufdragons Rocket collared Stonebridge Beach in the stretch and went on to win by four and a quarter lengths in 1:53.3 over the 'good' track. Nobettorplacetobe closed from the backfield to finish second, just ahead of Stonebridge Beach.

Ufdragons Rocket earned his 40th career win while sending his trainer's lifetime earnings over the $1 million mark. The pacer has recorded 14 of those victories this year.
Roy, now a regular on the WEG Circuit and the second leading dash-winning driver in the country, drove on Sunday at Hippodrome 3R and Rideau, where he had topped the standings in 2016.
