Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Chancey Lady took the lead early for driver Eric Goodell and cruised to a 1:52.3 victory in Monday’s $24,000 Filly and Mare Open/Handicap Pace at Dover Downs.
Defending trainer champion Josh Green racked up his first win of the meet conditioning Chancey Lady to her fourth win in her last five starts for owner Baron Racing Stable. Goodell opened up a big lead after the half and was an easy winner. Moonlit Dragon closed for second with David Miller at the controls. Yagonnakissmeornot, handled by Montrell Teague, finished third.
The win was the ninth of the campaign for the seven-year-old daughter of Camluck-Art Of Design, who has stashed away in excess of $156,000 this season and more than $2 million to date.
