Away second behind the streaking Mud Pie Hanover, who was seeking the fifth win in her last six starts, Red Star Hottie brushed late for Dave Palone and scored in 1:53.1, defeating the game Mud Pie Hanover by a length. Tremor Hanover rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains Red Star Hottie, a six-year-old daughter of As Promised-Whitehorse Fever who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $519,865, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone drove five winners — three for Burke — on the 13-race card.

Live racing resumes Saturday at The Meadows with a special make-up program beginning at 6:55 p.m.
