Six major events, two Progress Pace and three Matron Stakes eliminations, plus a Matron preview, will highlight a powerful Sunday, November 8 card of racing from Dover
Downs. First-race post time is 5:30 p.m.
Mr Wiggles, Vintage Master, Vertical Horizon and Bunkmeister will tangle in one of the two Progress Pace elims. In the other, a seven-horse contest, Tidewater Tomahawk, Go Go Solano and Zee Barber will face off.
Nine will start in the first of two very competitive $43,257 Matron Stakes Three-Year-Old Colt Trot elims, which will feature four starters fresh from the recent Breeders Crown: Triumphant Caviar, Neighsay Hanover, Hot Shot Blue Chip and Howthehaloareyou.
In the other $43,257 elim, PJ Clark and Swan For All, which last raced in the Breeders Crown, will take on Photoforwin, Calchips Brute, Russell Hill, Winning Mister Vesuvio AS. The elim will feature a field of 10.
Showherthemoney and Ginger And Fred will slug it out in a $55,750 Matron sophomore filly preview. All contestants will return for next week's lucrative final. Special Sweetheart and Indulge Me are other well regarded starters in a field of seven.
The three-year-old Matron filly elim boasts 10 starters, including five Breeders Crown starters, which will vie for fractions of the $35,694 purse. Seaside, a five-time winner this season and a third-place Breeders Crown finisher, will start from Post 10. Margarita Momma, Rapsong, Yursa Hanover and Sirenuse along with last year's two-year-old Matron winner Honorable Daughter.
Ten hard hitters will go at it in the second $35,694 Matron elim for three-year-old trotting fillies. Windsong Soprano is the leading moneymaker and a nine-time winner this season. The other starters that have racked up six figures this year are Michelles Way, Sea Raven, Whispering Wind, Broadway Paige and Gift Card.
The first four finishers in each of the Progress Pace and Matron elims will return the following Sunday for the rich finals.
